Assist in the planning and execution of marketing responsibilities surrounding 24 varsity sports at the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. Conduct research of new advertising and marketing opportunities to drive student attendance. Design and implement student email marketing campaigns. Manage the student fan rewards attendance program website and app, direct the marketing and promotional efforts of this program on-campus, and coordinate fulfillment of prizes and experience earned by students. Serve as liaison to the Iron N student group. Provide direct supervision of 12-14 marketing student interns including hiring and training. Long, irregular hours (including requirements to work weekend and nights) will apply especially through the football season and during other assigned sports.
Minimum qualifications to include: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, sports management or related field plus one (1) year of full-time sports marketing experience. Work history will show knowledge of computer design programs needed, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). Excellent communication skills.
