The Communications, Marketing, and Design Associate is responsible for internal and external communications efforts, in print and digital media. The CMD Associate adheres to the school’s brand standards and ensures cohesion of the school’s visual representation. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement.
Responsible for content, design, and production of all printed materials including the annual report, admissions materials, newsletters, fundraising appeals, print advertisements, programs, and invitations. Work with freelancers as necessary to create final work.
Responsible for photographing school events and creating short promotional videos.
Responsible for the content of The Hudson School website and its social media outlets.
Write weekly letter to parents and manage the School calendar of events.
Implement and manage the school’s institutional social media plan.
Prioritize and disseminate information for school news and events. Provide local news outlets with press releases and other information to keep the School in the news.
Manage the school photo archive.
Manage other communications and public relations tasks as they arise.
Monitors student management of social media sites.
A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics and experiences:
Flexibility and ability to work in an active office
Proficient in Adobe Suite
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Experience with social media and website management
Strong organization skills
Takes the initiative to take on new tasks and responsibilities
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, resourceful and attentive to detail and accuracy
Excellent judgment in fast-moving environments
Proficiency with Windows software
