This position will lead Marketing for our client’s business, with approximately $850M in annual revenue in both hard goods and apparel products. The SVP, Marketing, will build strong brand positioning and awareness while driving and accelerating the company’s growth. This individual is a key member of the leadership and reports directly to the President.
The SVP, Marketing is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of companies marketing strategies and programs. S/he must ensure the organization’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences, in order to best amplify the brand and meet business objectives. The main areas of accountability are as follows: Customer Experience and Engagement; Marketing, Digital Leadership, and eCommerce including social, distributor engagement and full responsibility for branded website; Marketing Analytics to leverage data and analytics to drive marketing and other functions at both the strategic and operational levels; and Brand Marketing, including marketing communications. This individual will have experience working in a B2B sales environment or industry with a two-step distribution model and, in particular, in a product-based business.
B2B Marketing Expertise - Experience in B2B industry and/or sales environment; two-step distribution model
Digital Marketing - Digital experience and enablement designed to enhance eCommerce initiatives to drive growth
Product Orientation - Experience with product-based business; sales/marketing program development to support product strategies
Track-record for driving results in a growth-oriented business with proven ability to lead, launch and execute Marketing strategies and initiatives successfully
Using information as a strategic asset with data and information to drive sales
Collaborating across the product development, sales and IT functions
Experience with leveraging customer relationship management solutions
Acquisition integration experience
Experience and success leading cross-functional initiatives and working within matrix organizational structures
