As a member of the External Relations team, the Digital Marketing/Marketing Cloud Coordinator will carry out marketing related duties focused on advancing the mission, awareness, reputation and program offerings of the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Working under the supervision of the Marketing Manager/Marketing Cloud Administrator, the Coordinator will support the development, coordination and execution of impactful digital and email marketing initiatives.
Manage annual digital advertising campaigns on channels including Google AdWords, Google Display, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Spotify by:
Coordinating creative development and approvals, managing timelines, sending creative files, and maintaining archive.
Launch/stop campaigns according to the schedule
Includes scheduling in platforms, implement targeting, creating short copy where needed
Create UTM/Analytics tracking for URL’s
Building/maintaining remarketing audiences
Setting and tracking web conversions
Manage budget spend/pacing according to schedule, adjust as needed
Update reporting weekly, finalize campaign end reporting
Campaign optimizations as needed (~weekly to biweekly)
Help identify new opportunities within new or existing platforms
Assist with Data Studio reporting needs
Budget reconciliation for advertising campaign spend
Serve as the back-up for administrative duties in UM-Dearborn’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance with duties including: monitoring the Marketing Cloud Connect, managing contact purge strategy, building data extensions and developing a reporting framework.
Utilize project management tools to manage complex projects.
Additional marketing-related duties as assigned
A bachelor's degree in digital media, marketing or communications is required.
3+ year’s digital advertising or paid search marketing experience with a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
Multi-channel digital campaign experience including SEO, display, mobile, social, paid search and the ability to set key performance indicators and measure impact on website and conversions.
A firm understanding of email marketing best practices.
Experience managing a CRM for email communication, preferably Salesforce/Marketing Cloud.
Proficient in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Social Media channels, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be professional, service oriented, creative, self-motivated, highly organized, team player.
Ability to work independently with little direction and multi-task while being productive and timely.
Google Adwords/Ad Manager, Analytics Certification, preferred.
