MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER , Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation (DCTI) , to be responsible for promoting the DCTI and its programs via targeted media outreach, public relations, news articles, and social media through digital, video, and print communications. Will design solutions to meet DCTI ongoing and evolving communications needs, including website maintenance; content creation for digital, video, print products, and social media; and design, plan, implement, promote, and evaluate a variety of events by developing strategic plans, choreographing and managing the tactical and logistical details such as individual event budgets, marketing, collateral, venues, etc.
REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree (master's preferred); at least five years' experience, preferably in corporate or marketing communication; success planning and implementing communications strategies; strong creative writing, editing, and interviewing skills; ability to learn and write about a range of technology areas and a desire to explore new topics; experience translating technical content for a nontechnical audience and proactively producing informative and lively media; ability to solicit and synthesize input from a variety of sources in order to develop strategically appropriate communications; knowledge of web content strategy and strong commitment to maintaining web standards and best practices; facility with the tools of social and video media and website management, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite etc.; willingness to learn new skills and software; ability to juggle simultaneous tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a team member; excellent judgment with confidential information; and experience developing and executing events.
