Assistant Director of Marketing, reporting lo the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing, will assist in promoting positive image for intercollegiate athletics, maintaining and increasing ticket sales and creating, implementing and executing various game day promotions. This position will have responsibilities related to all of the University of South Carolina’s 21 varsity sports with direct oversight of all marketing elements for women’s basketball, volleyball, softball and other sports as needed. Position will have oversight of the marketing student internship program, including hiring and management of all student interns. Position will oversee the management and fulfillment of the donation request program. Position will be the marketing liaison to the Gamecock Club.
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year experience in marketing in collegiate athletics department
Preferred: Experience with full time marketing at a Division I college athletics program and marketing oversight of a sport is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of marketing and advertising / sponsorship program development. Knowledge of digital marketing and public relations. Proficiency with MS Office application and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design and Powerpoint.
