Responsibilities include assisting Marketing Director in developing, planning, implementing, and managing a broad range of marketing, public relations, events and communication programs for The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing, planning and implementing promotional activities, special events, community programs, and seasonal events to reach center's objectives within budget.
Establish relationships with merchants and provide assistance with merchant promotions. Plan Quarterly Merchant Meetings.
Explore and acquire sponsorship of special events and community programs and find innovative ways to generate income for special event budget.
Review and prepare report of special events reflecting event results, upcoming events, and an analysis of event costs and budget variance with explanation.
Assist in the conception, logistics planning, execution of all special events at the The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. This includes concerts, festivals, fashion shows, children's events, fundraisers, and all holiday events. Attendance is required for many the events that take place in the evenings and on weekends. You will be the point person for events; multi-tasting is important.
Work to update the backend of the website by maintaining the event calendar, store promotions, and store listings.
Work closely with Marketing Director, PR agency and social media firm on various marketing tasks including tenant communication, event preparation, ordering supplies, keeping an organized calendar, updating the media, and incubating new ideas.
Evaluate all requests for community donations, handle center donations, and solicit sponsors for community donations.
Responsible for appearance, creation, and placement of mall signage.
Communicate with and involve Guest Services, the maintenance, security, and management staff in the implementation of events and promotions to ensure proper execution and positive customer impact.
Uphold company brand standards and guidelines when working on projects.
Assist with all other aspects of marketing as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations or related discipline. Proven track record of innovation/creativity, excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under pressure.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Advanced skills working in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop required. HTML experience preferred. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, internet research and writing skills.
