The Marketing and Ticketing Coordinator for the Menuhin Competition Richmond 2020 is responsible for the coordination of marketing, PR and ticketing activities related to the Competition, which will be held on May 14-24, 2020. This position will reside in the Richmond Symphony offices and work closely across departments including Advancement and Patron Communications staff and the existing and future Menuhin Competition Richmond 2020 staff. The duties connected with this position include but are not limited to:
Coordinate promotional plans among Richmond 2020 partners, PR Agency, Marketing Agency and Menuhin Competition Trust
Serve as gatekeeper for all Richmond 2020 related marketing assets
Manage the Master Calendar for Richmond 2020 promotional activities
Work with PR, Marketing Agency and Menuhin Trust to coordinate Social Media and other digital strategies among partner contacts
Oversee Richmond 2020 ticket sales and box office operations including VIP, Partner, Artist and Pass ticketing
Generate promotional language as appropriate
Oversee Richmond 2020 brand management and implementation
Manage box office and ticketing interns and volunteers
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement and Patron Communications and the Project Manager for the Menuhin Competition Richmond 2020
Successful performance in this position requires an individual with the following demonstrated skills:
• Experience in Marketing and/or PR initiatives • Base knowledge of performing arts ticketing and systems • Strong computer skills, especially in social media, web, excel • Box Office experience a plus • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines • Proven track record of effective time management, flexibility and strong organizational skills • Commitment to the principles of teamwork and shared responsibility • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing • Ability to anticipate problems or to identify them before significant impact on service delivery, expenses or revenues • Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field is preferred
Additional Salary Information: •Position will have work space in the Richmond Symphony office (parking provided).
•Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment.
•During and in the weeks leading up to the Menuhin Competition Richmond 2020 (May 14-24, 2020), attendance and participation will be expected outside of normal office hours and on weekends.
