The Marketing and Communications Director will be responsible for the strategic planning and ongoing execution of all demand creation, generation, acquisition, and loyalty marketing strategies to drive lift and loyalty of the Gator Co. product family. This role’s mission is to build the Gator brand and position in the market to further our reputation as an innovative design and solution provider, be passionate and share our passion about our products, customers and the markets we serve.
Reporting to the VP Marketing & Business Development, develop and lead the implementation of the global, multi-channel, integrated marketing roadmap to include all ongoing marketing plans (digital/social, event, product, media) for Gator products and brands
Define and operationalize the marketing plan, including scope, accountabilities, goals and KPI’s, budget, marketing mix, GTM timeline and process to hit business growth goals as outlined in the product and marketing roadmaps.
Support product management and marketing teams on product roadmap initiatives, utilizing data science and marketing intelligence to drive cross-product and product improvements to increase customer satisfaction
Develop and implement precision marketing plans to increase loyalty, conversion and tribalism
Analyze new market opportunities to support business development initiatives
Conduct market research and monitor trends to make effective, data-driven decisions around media partnerships, influencer marketing, sponsorships, campaigns and advertising
Partner with Sales on B2B sales and marketing opportunities
Generate positive publicity for Gator and its products by proactively researching and pitching story angles, writing stories, press releases and message points for global consumption
Collaborate with industry partners and organizations on international media and marketing campaigns to promote Gator
Plan and launch event plans, including tradeshows, customer and sales events, customer experience and outreach initiatives to increase Gator brand awareness, drive product marketing strategy and sales
Develop and lead regular marketing performance reporting to review progress against business goals and success metrics
Candidates must have:
5-7 years of experience in the design and execution of integrated marketing, communications and PR strategies
Very strong skills, knowledge and experience in the strategic planning & execution of product marketing campaigns and promotions, using multiple marketing tactics – outbound and inbound marketing, digital and traditional marketing
High level of experience managing building plans, setting budgets, and managing all aspects of the marketing funnel from top of funnel awareness (paid media, content, influencers, social media, retail integration, media partnerships & sponsorships), to mid-/bottom- of funnel tactics (Google AdWords/Paid Search, email)
Demonstrated experience leading the development of marketing sponsorships and partnerships to drive brand awareness and loyalty
Strong data science knowledge and analytics experience with exceptional reporting capabilities
Heavy cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong understanding and working knowledge of music industry and audio/visual products (gear, accessories, equipment, instruments, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications
