The Content Developer & Marketing Strategist will be responsible for driving the digital content strategy, supporting marketing, communication and public relation initiatives on the web and intranet sites. The primary role of this position is to create, develop, implement and assess a wide variety of strategic initiatives on key marketing and recruitment sites to ensure organizational alignment with the University's mission and engagement with multiple target audiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Develop expertise in the utilization of SVSU's Content Management System (CMS) and SharePoint.
Work collaboratively to coordinate with key University teams on marketing and recruitment sites, establishing and implementing site layout and organization, graphics, visuals, navigation and web template designs.
Coordinate and manage assets in photography, graphics, and other multi-media to support promotions and content production.
Monitor and evaluate site statistics, including usability testing to gauge content effectiveness.
Assist in the development of overall web design standards including development of web template designs and other supporting assets.
Optimize site search for major search engines.
Train and supervise student employees assigned to team.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design or other related field required.
Minimum three-year's experience in digital communications, web design, advertising and creative services, marketing or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with web markup, including HTML and CSS.
Ability to communicate effectively with key representatives and stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong customer service mindset.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate keen attention to detail.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing an integrated marketing and communication strategy, and using analytics to assess and measure effectiveness.
Previous experience with SharePoint applications highly desirable.
Master's degree preferred.
