The director of marketing oversees digital and clinical marketing for the organization. This position is responsible for Children’s Minnesota digital channels and presence; helping grow Children's clinical service lines; and developing strong and differentiated marketing campaigns.
This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and works closely with department and organizational leaders, including Children's Minnesota executive team.
This position has two to three direct reports.
Builds the organization’s digital marketing competencies and capabilities, including core platforms and processes.
Provides strategic leadership for management and implementation of CRM, and data acquisition and analytics.
Leads digital channels, including email/automation, SEO and SEM.
Helps drive clinical marketing planning and priorities – especially in signature areas -- in collaboration with the Vice President of Marketing
Communications, and the Director of Brand and Consumer Marketing.
Defines marketing success criteria and metrics, reports on results and nimbly adapts department priorities, as needed. Oversees tracking and monitoring of digital and clinical marketing effectiveness to optimize investments across channels.
In coordination with the Director of Brand and Consumer Marketing, leads primary research projects, including journey mapping and qualitative/quantitative studies. Uses this research to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
Supports clinical marketing team in developing targeting, positioning and messaging, aligned closely with brand positioning and goals.
Demonstrates expertise consulting with and advising executives and senior leaders as they market service lines and grow market share in priority areas.
Stays up-to-date on the latest tools, technologies and approaches in health care marketing.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, journalism or related area. MS or MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience in marketing, digital, advertising or agency environment.
Experience working in the healthcare industry or related field (preferred).
Strong knowledge of digital channels, tools and platforms.
Experience in developing, leading and executing marketing strategies and plans.
Experience facilitating and collaborating with external agencies to achieve organizational objectives in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Strong ability to build and manage high-performing marketing teams.
Strong business acumen.
