The Associate Creative Director supports the Executive Creative Director in the planning, strategy, concepts, and copy direction for our clients and help create world famous brands and brand experiences. The Associate Creative Director provides day to day leadership across lines of business as well as projects. The Associate Creative Director knows RP3 brands intimately and finds ways to capture the spirit, the persona, and the essence of each of them while customizing consumer experience for each account RP3 partners with.
Establishes and maintains high internal quality by originating creative ideas, managing project timelines, adhering to Creative Briefs, ensuring consistency of strategic branding.
Oversees the copy process by meeting regularly with copywriters and Account Management to assess project development, review work product and determine whether the project is on target and within the scope of the Creative Brief.
Act as a client liaison by presenting various stages of work product to the client and effectively responding to client requests or inquiries in a timely manner.
Provides accurate written ad copy and/or visual as appropriate by conducting brand and/or product research, applying consistent style and message across brand documents, understanding style and referencing usage, applying appropriate regulatory requirements, etc.
Acts as a mentor to departmental employees by providing developmental opportunities, responding to questions, providing direction on resource utilization (internally and externally), etc.
Provides supervision and oversight to freelance staff by determining appropriate project assignment based on individual skill sets, orienting new employees to agency SOPs, providing necessary resources and direction, and responding to questions.
Maintains consistently high execution excellence by ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to projects, timelines are managed and strategic brand objectives are promoted.
Ensures smooth internal workflow by utilizing effective delegation, the assignment/reassignment of appropriate resources to jobs, providing direction and counsel as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or degree in related field
8-12 years of experience and Industry experience in writing/art is required
Proven track record of developing successful ad campaigns
Must possess a strong working knowledge of Windows and MAC OS
Excellent communication skills and selling ability. Must be able to work well under pressure and time constraints.
Understanding of customer experience methodology, brand management, marketing, advertising, and e-commerce
Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Powerpoint, Keynote
Ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks effectively
Effective oral, written, and verbal communication skills
Confidence in building rapport with clients and nurturing good working relationships.
