Reporting directly to the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Overseeing the implementation and execution of marketing, promotions and advertising plans for assigned sports. Creates and implements in-game promotions, executes pre-game and in-game promotions.
Oversee all community and grassroots marketing efforts to include community appearances, donation requests, prospect and cultivate relationships with various community groups within the Greater Tampa Bay area through our Go Green Friday program.
Serve as the game day producer for assigned sports. Assist with on-field coordination for football and basketball.
Assist in coordinating marketing and special events for football and basketball.
Recruit and supervise interns or other OPS employees in facilitating marketing projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or requested.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media or related field, with one years of experience in related positions; or a Master’s degree in the fields listed above. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience working in college athletics. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe software.
Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience with social media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
