And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) The Sr. Marketing Analyst will provide recommendations and actionable insights based on the analysis of broad business and Marketing data. The individual will need to articulate data and reporting results to internal partners, including sources, value, and impact. They will be responsible for creating dashboards, and scorecards using a variety of tools such as excel, access, PowerPoint and Tableau for the marketing department while maintaining and improving current inventory of available data. This individual needs to continuously innovate around what information can be provided back to our partners to help them with their strategies on future marketing activities. Primary Responsibilities:Marketing reporting Data mining to provide direction on future campaigns Analyzing the results of past campaigns Performing ad hoc analysis in support of Marketing Presenting results and possible areas for improvement Partnering with IT and the database team to manage requirements and expectations tied with Data Analytics and reporting efforts around our members Work with business partners to understand requirements and designs for reporting and information exchange tied to our members Presenting results and possible areas for improvement Champion of measurement across Marketing activities and advocate in supporting our Reach / Resonance, Impact, Outcomes analytics strategies Have in - depth, working knowledge of Tableau, Adobe analytics, SAS, SQL, Marketing statistics (i.e. email, digital, social, etc...) and other tools Consistently improve the data and information provided to Marketing, and the way in which we communicate and deliver the information to help partners develop in depth strategies Articulate trends and behaviors found in the data, and make recommendations for future strategy and tactics Develops, implements, enhances, and maintains complex Business Intelligence reporting and dashboards using Tableau or other tools Understand industry best practices for metrics across different channels of marketing Effectively document and communicate decisions, understand customer needs and proactively elicit, capture, and communicate business requirements to meet those needs Build strong partnerships with other analytics areas to learn about appropriate data sources that are accurate and document any relevant information Demonstrate proactive critical thinking, facilitating a team approach to solve strategic and technical challenges Become an expert in the business metrics and the best way to present them to our partners Proactively identify and present the trends and metrics back to our marketing partners
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as: computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, economics (similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency 5+ years of experience as a database analyst specifically with large databases Advanced level of proficiency utilizing SAS / SQL Advanced level of proficiency with Tableau Intermediate proficiency with MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Preferred Qualifications:Healthcare industry experience Marketing Analytics experience Experience utilizing Oracle and DB2 Database tool Able to hit targets and goals with little tactical supervision; must be comfortable succeeding in a self - directed, deadline - driven environment Strong work ethic – "Do whatever it takes" and "Can do" attitude Self - motivated professional who can work independently or closely with program managers Professional, confidence - inspiring personality, style and presence Strong presentation skills – experienced presenter in group setting to both technical and business audience Proven, effective written and verbal communication skills Personally motivated and the ability to drive the completion of deliverables on time and with appropriate rigor & urgency Self - motivated professional who can work independently or closely with program managers Ability to develop and recommend new processes, new analytics concepts, and new data approaches Continue to proactively present trends and insights in new ways to improve the acceptance and understanding of metrics Innovative and proactive approach in challenging the status - quo, driving for continuous change and improvementCareers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
