The Director of Marketing and Member Services will be responsible for strategy development and execution for marketing and communication activities that include membership recruitment and retention as well as promoting all AANA programs, products and services. In addition the Director will provide oversight of the broadcast email platform, social media, and ancillary web services. The Director will edit the quarterly newsletter, conduct the annual Member Needs Survey, and produce the Annual Report. The Director will serve as the staff liaison to the Communications, Technology and Membership Committees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for membership recruitment and retention.
Oversee all membership recruitment and retention activities.
Draft and manage timelines, work plans and budgets.
Develop and implement an integrated marketing program to market key products, including the Annual Meeting, Fall Course, APEx Courses, Online Education, and other education programs.
Oversee the production of educational meeting on-site materials such as final programs, PowerPoint presentations, signage and structures.
Collaborate with parties responsible for ancillary programs, products, and services to develop communication strategies to increase awareness, utilization, and member engagement.
Develop and manage annual membership and marketing budgets.
Serve as the staff liaison to the Communications, Technology and Membership Committees. Responsibilities include planning, meeting preparation, minutes, and reporting activities to the Board of Directors.
Serve as quarterly newsletter editor.
Supervise the Marketing and Communications Specialist.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Experience with association management software, preferably PROTECH.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
At least 5-7 years proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably in an association.
