|We are looking for an innovative marketing professional to join our busy sales office to sell and book Lawrence Hall of Science education programs to schools, families and community groups. The Registration Sales Specialist will use marketing and sales concepts in performing non-complex responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing and sales plans for Lawrence Hall of Science Programs. The incumbent may also work on sales and outreach to new and existing customers, draft promotional or marketing materials, work on marketing events, and conduct basic market research, etc. This position is sales and revenue generating, working directly with customers and requires strong customer service skills and problem solving within defined guidelines. |
Daily duties will include preparing contracts, processing payments, calendaring programs and working with education staff to ensure programs can be delivered as scheduled. This position requires heavy customer communication by phone, email and in person.
Responsibilities: Ã¯ Sells and books Lawrence Hall of Science programs to schools, groups and families, either by email, phone, online or in person using several different booking and calendaring systems. These programs include reservations for school field trips, workshops, outreach programs, home-school classes and camps. Ã¯ Ensures good customer service through providing appropriate information to answer questions and explain basic products and services as well as navigating booking systems for efficient service. Ã¯ Researches and resolves problems based on customer input as well as established protocols Ã¯ Provides accounting support including collecting and allocating payments as required. Ã¯ Provides training and work direction for temporary staff including studentsÃ¯ Good organizational skills. Ã¯ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ã¯ Basic knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, techniques and practices. Ã¯ Basic knowledge of the campus, including its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure. Ã¯ Interest in science and education. Ã¯ Good problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ã¯ Basic computer skills (excel, word, email, web browsers, google applications) and ability to learn new programs and systems. Education/Training: Ã¯ Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
