| We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Oakland, CA. Role Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for the strategic development of the BTM Business in collaboration with the COWI NA leaders for COWI NA's West Coast Region. This role is responsible for building relations with customers and developing the market through coordination of activities across the organization. This includes actively seeking out opportunities to expand client services when appropriate into all units of COWI NA and bringing together colleagues to foster relationships for cross-selling opportunities. The incumbent will partner with the corporate business development, engineering, and management teams and take ownership and oversee proposal development and related processes for assigned Pursuits/Proposals. He/she will lead collaborative, integrated proposal teams to identify, plan, develop and deliver winning proposals that support the company's growth objectives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to Relations: •Develops, defines and executes activities for relationship building in assigned markets; •Creates relationships with customers and facilitates an effective KAM structure involving appropriate personnel; •Builds relationships with teaming partners and assembling teams for specific pursuits; •Acts as key account manager for strategic customers; and •Performs other relations duties as required. Marketing: •Develops strategies for business development in collaboration with COWI BD support functions; •Achieves key targets, including building a robust pipeline of significant, specific projects and leading the identification and implementation of actions to win key projects; •Builds and maintains at least 6 months of backlog through successful pursuits; •Manages pursuit milestones and challenges; •Manages proposal resources to meet proposal production deadlines; •Participates in the development of marketing resources for use in pursuit of clients and projects; •Interfaces with customers to understand priorities, and lead oversight of engineering proposals; and •Performs other marketing duties as required. Entrepreneurship: •Effectively markets all current and future services through becoming conversant and possessing sufficient knowledge of COWI NA business lines and services; •Works collaboratively within all business units to cross-sell and support greater BTM business development opportunities; and •Performs other duties as required. |
