The Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement. This is a full-time, 1.00 FTE, 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Athletic Director. The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to provide opportunity to young people and develop leaders through a tradition of academic and athletic achievement in a progressive, inclusive environment of mutual respect. The Assistant Athletic Director (AD) for Marketing/Fan Engagement reports to the Associate AD-Fan Engagement/Revenue Generation, and is responsible for increasing the overall visibility of Oregon State Athletics by leading and managing marketing and promotions. The Assistant AD will implement and plan marketing strategies to drive attendance, promotion and engagement of athletic events. Duties include sport specific fan experience, promotion, supervision, student spirit group organization and content generation.
Bachelor’s Degree in field of choice.
Two (2) years of marketing and promotions experience at an NCAA Division I BCS institution.
Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written forms.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software.
Experience working with football and/or men’s basketball programs.
Must be able to multi task in a fast faced environment.
