Shop Environments Association is looking for a creative and digital-savvy marketer to become part of our small team of hardworking, dedicated retail association professionals. The retail world is quickly changing, and we help our members stay on top of these changes through our award-winning magazine, events held around the globe, webinars, white papers, competitions and much more. Based in our Hollywood, Fla., office, this position is a great opportunity for someone with a few years’ experience who wants to hone their digital skills and grow their overall marketing experience. The position reports to the Director of Marketing.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will have a hands-on role in disseminating marketing information for all areas of the organization. This role will help plan, implement marketing strategies for the organization including email creation, social media coordination, video production assistance, and website content management.
Coordinate execution of e-mail blasts
Layout e-mails and newsletters using existing templates
Test functionality across devices with focus on QA of links, images, and functionality
Implement proofreading quality checks to ensure that content is error-free
Use AMS (CRM) to target and pull segmented distribution lists
Work with project managers to align e-mails with campaign calendars for seamless execution
Deploy e-mails and track open and click-through stats. Make appropriate recommendations for improvement
Perform web updates, audit content, and create new web and newsletter landing pages using existing templates
Maintain Industry Events Calendar (printed and online versions) and update on Shop! websites in a timely manner
Define personality, tone and set goals for all social platforms.
Develop calendars for all social platforms that align with goals for all project managers.
Serve as content manager for all social media activity
Discovery of new social media outlets and recommendations
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or a related field
1-3 years minimum experience with e-mail/electronic marketing. Internship experience may be considered. (Real Magnet preferred)
General grasp of HTML and email coding best practices required
Familiarity with e-mail marketing and spam guidelines and best practices
Demonstrated ability to work with staff and vendors to complete deadline-oriented projects in a timely and cost efficient manner.
Fast-paced, organized, detail-oriented team player
Experience with Microsoft Office products, social media including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook and email platforms (Real Magnet preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
