The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) is seeking a marketing and communications professional responsible for developing, overseeing and implementing multichannel marketing strategies to internal and external audiences that drive AFFI’s objectives. This is a very collaborative role that requires working closely with the communications team and across departments. This position reports to the Vice President of Strategic Communications.
Develop and execute results-oriented marketing and communications plans across all channels inclusive of web properties, social channels, email and media/PR on strict timelines.
Manage agency teams to design and implement effective and impactful programs.
Lead the strategy and management of AFFI’s social media presence, including generating engaging content, ensuring adherence to best practices, responding to queries and moderating user-generated content.
Review/edit completeness, quality and accuracy of team’s work.
Keep abreast of trends and best practices in marketing, email marketing, video production and social media.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience managing multiple agencies
Attention to detail. Plan and execute integrated campaigns, events and/or meetings on strict timelines and budgets
Excellent written/verbal communications skills, including press releases, copywriting, editing, opinion editorials and reports
Experience managing traditional and digital communication channels
Ability to provide direction to Communications Coordinator, as well as work independently
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university, with 5+ years of related professional experience in communications, marketing, media relations or social media campaigns preferred.
