The Marketing and Communications Associate will be part of a team responsible for admission, recruitment, and marketing--specifically digital advertising, social media, graphic design, video, photography, and copywriting. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Marketing, this individual will highlight school programs, activities, initiatives and accomplishments. The Marketing and Communications Associate will be focused, energetic, and success-oriented; have strong time-management and organizational skills; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to establish and maintain collegial relationships among all school constituents; have a sense of humor; and be a self-starter and motivator, able to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be interested in education and in learning about Siena's mission, and will be able to assume a multifaceted role in a fast-paced work environment. A successful candidate will have 1-3 years experience, preferably in an independent school, as well as a talent for marketing, communications, and design. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. About The Siena School The Siena School, grades 4-12, is entering its 13th year, with an expanding enrollment. The Siena School prepares bright, college-bound students with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia, to become confident, curious learners who understand their personal strengths and gain the tools and strategies to excel. This position would be asked to: - Design and manage content for various school print and digital materials
- Consistently and effectively represent Siena on social media platforms
- Analyze data generated from the performance of social media posts and suggest/apply new strategies as needed
- Create and manage content for Siena’s website and blog
- Manage and coordinate content provided for a weekly e-newsletter for parents
- Create content for important email announcements
- Act as the school reporter, seeking out stories, videos, testimonials, etc. from teachers, students and staff that showcase our educational excellence
- Assist the Director of Admissions and Marketing with brand management and guideline enforcement
- Work with faculty and staff to produce, manage and brand materials (digital and print collateral, slide decks, videos, etc.)
- Attend occasional evening and weekend events (e.g. graduation, school fairs)
- Perform additional duties as required
