This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.
With Associate Dean of Marketing, leads the implementation of short and long term brand strategies and marketing plans to build the global awareness and reputation for Olin and its programs and areas. Working in concert with the brand management team, understands individual programs’ goals to create and develop a strategic marketing and communications plan. Oversees the development marketing plans, and execution for the Olin Business School. All activities will enhance Olin’s brand awareness and reputation not just in key markets of business, but nationally and globally.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic thinking: Develop comprehensive understanding of the school and university’s brand position based on programs’ recruitment strategies, market demographics and psychographics, competitors, stakeholder input, and other environmental factors that drive success.
Marketing planning: Uses that comprehensive, strategic understanding in conjunction with primary and secondary research to develop exceptional strategic marketing plans with an appropriate marketing mix for the overall Olin brand and corresponding programs and areas. Act as resource to other Brand Managers and oversight of department projects.
Brand execution: Leads and manages execution of successful marketing campaigns and initiatives associated with the annual marketing plan, including development of all collateral, web content and presence, direct mail, advertising, events, promotions, digital, social media, and other marketing. Ensures that marketing efforts meet the needs of the target audiences while maintaining consistent message, tone, and style.
Marketing Counsel: Provides effective and respected marketing counsel to senior management and internal customers.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, and/or advertising preferred, plus 8 years of experience in marketing or brand management, including proven experience leading high-impact strategic marketing planning, campaign development, to market execution and media planning and placement.
Proven experience in developing, facilitating or coordinating advertising creative including keen creative eye and strong appreciation for the creative process.
Demonstrated experience working with or for ad agencies to develop advertising.
Masters degree or commensurate work experience desired.
Experience with brands targeted at senior level and c-suite business people a plus.
Experience in leading teams in a complex environment.
The hiring range for this position is $64,291 - $83,616 annually.
