Responsible for thinking strategically; translating overall business and marketing requirements into concrete goals, strategies and project plans for successful execution. As a member of the corporate marketing team, this position requires an experienced team player with excellent verbal, presentation and writing abilities to communicate effectively across multiple organizational entities and management levels. This position reports to the AVP, Strategic Marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation’s policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments and governmental regulations.
Create, implement and measure the success of a comprehensive marketing program that will enhance the VITAS image and position within service areas.
Supports management with budgets, analytics and reporting
Interface with external vendors, internal staff, and other departments to achieve project goals.
Supervise a team of marketing specialists to ensure local marketing plans compile with brand standards, increase brand awareness and equity
Support local market management with the coordination of market-specific campaigns and sponsorship events to strengthen the brand
Coordinate teams within the marketing department to facilitate design effective marketing collateral materials
Serves as liaison between local market management and marketing department
Facilitates communication between vendors, internal partners and agencies
Creates/manages media marketing campaigns
Manage external business partners (consultants and vendors) including daily project management and recommendations
Provide operational efficiencies, eliminate duplicate work efforts and remove unnecessary complexities by creating and implementing new department procedures and workflows
Plan, organize, and administer the activities related to the assigned function
Organize, manage, and direct the work of the employees in the assigned function
Oversee the assignment of duties and responsibilities to employees
Observe and evaluate employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service are met
Mentor, develop and provide on-the-job training to subordinates to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement
Recommend personnel actions such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure proper staffing
Provide approval for overtime needs

5 -7 years’ minimum experience with demonstrated success in marketing, strategy and media initiatives from concept to completion
Healthcare or advertising agency experience preferred
Proven track-record of planning, executing and analyzing A/B testing
Experience with pay-per-click, search engine optimization and search marketing (PPC/SEO/SEM)
Prior experience managing, leading and developing a marketing team
Experience working with client partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing strategies and direction
Experience in leveraging cross-functional teams to deliver results
Ability to draw business objectives and manage expectations of internal customers
Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, results-oriented, analytical, reporting and interpersonal skills
Ability to succeed in a demanding deadline-driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Suite
Excellent time management and organizational skills, including ability to accurately gauge project duration, deliver on deadlines, and manage workloads with conflicting priorities
Able to be current and updated on emerging technologies associated with a robust marketing and communication strategy reflective of a national leading healthcare organization
Knowledge of policies and practices involved in the human resources function
Ability to manage staff in an engaging environment maintaining workforce production and development
Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Advertising or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent; MBA is a plus
