Work closely with multiple departments on campus to support the marketing goals for Auxiliary Services including University Housing, College Park District, and the E.H. Hereford University Center (Student Union). This position will be on a team that is responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing new and existing marketing initiatives to further each area’s purpose and brand. This position will create collateral in digital, print, and face-to-face formats for use across multiple platforms. This position supervises student employees.
University Housing: Responsible for managing multiple areas of marketing such as project management, creative and graphic design, website design and development, project/campaign management, digital advertising signs inside residence halls, and social media communications across multiple platforms. Plan and implement student recruitment events including Preview Day, Housing Fair, and advertising contracts. Innovate in creative and unique ways to connect with the college student audience. Co-supervise front desk student staff related to marketing efforts.
College Park District: Functions related to College Park District marketing and communication include developing the College Park District brand as a destination; promoting patronage to all retail, entertainment, residential, and recreational locations; and collaborate with various university and city partners to promote College Park and Downtown Arlington events. Innovate in creative ways to connect to selected target groups. Supervise student interns related to college park marketing efforts.
University Center: Functions include managing website design and development, multiple marketing campaigns, create content for digital advertising signs within the building, and manage social media communications across multiple platforms. This position is responsible for enhancing the University Center brand.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, art, or related field. Must have 4 years of Marketing experience. Proficiency in two or more Adobe Creative Suite Series programs (minimally Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Adobe Premier Pro). Comfort with learning, using, and troubleshooting technology.
Master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Art, or related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects. 5 years professional experience working in retail marketing, public relations, direct marketing, brand management, or related experience. Previous professional experience working within higher education.
