Key marketing leadership position accountable for helping achieve business and bulk customer, revenue, brand and product goals for the Chicago market.
Will be primarily responsible for developing and supporting strategic plans and tactical execution of business services integrated marketing and media campaigns including traditional and digital mediums, marketing communications, events and programs throughout the RCN Chicago footprint.
Will be responsible for enhancing the business services brand to build consumer awareness, prospect growth and client satisfaction.
Will be responsible for developing and executing bulk marketing programs to develop new and untapped revenue streams.
This person will work closely with the Chicago Business Services and Bulk teams, and is responsible for enriching the sales process through sales tools, competitive awareness and continuous analysis/tracking of marketing programs and their effectiveness
This person will work closely with the Corporate Business Services Marketing Director to execute corporate marketing programs and build local customer awareness of the features, functionality, benefits and value proposition of all products in the Business Services product suite.
Reports directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing & Residential Sales
Generally this position has no direct reports but will supervise B2B interns (when utilized)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the conceptualization of brand level B2B integrated acquisition, retention and upgrade marketing campaigns. Working with wider marketing team, sales and B2B leadership to devise execute and track. Ensures deadlines are met consistently.
Responsible for managing B2B and Bulk target segmentation and scheduling customer list pulls, utilizing a well established data base segmentation system and resources.
Oversees all B2B and Bulk creative development – direct mail, digital, collaterals, etc.
Works with Sr. Director on media review and selection, ad placement, tracking, and reporting.
Works with marketing team(s), associated external marketing partners and several ad agencies to meet or exceed results.
Conducts campaign post-mail analyses and program measurement; stays abreast of competitive landscape, consumer trends and monitors customer opinions online and through social media, reporting feedback to key stakeholders. Utilizes customer analysis and research to inform campaign strategy. Suggests improvements/changes when necessary.
Responsible for developing all B2B and Bulk collateral and sales materials for the market.
Provides and supports product and promotion training for B2B and Bulk sales representatives, sales support and operations.
Develops and implements new B2B product launch plans. Ensures system on time readiness.
Manages with excellence the Business Services and Bulk marketing budgets. Keeps track of actual and forecasted expenses for stakeholder teams.
Participates, negotiates and oversees local B2B events and sponsorships.
Liaison to various sales channels and sales support functional groups on status of marketing efforts and product/programming launches. Ensures B2B and Bulk sales collateral is developed and delivered.
Seeks and manages relationships with town officials, chambers of commerce, sponsorship partners and other key B2B stakeholders.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures communication and implementation throughout the local organization.
Ability to work flexible hours during event programs.

Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in marketing or related discipline required. MBA preferred.
Outstanding skills in establishing business strategy and strong track record of delivering B2B marketing campaigns and programs with excellence.
Strong understanding of both traditional and digital advertising mediums required.
Creative, dynamic leader that can switch from very focused, tactical project management to future-thinking strategic planning with ease.
Strong financial/analytical capabilities. Ability to analyze data and create action plans, and manage budgets.
Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills. Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Should be able to develop and deliver presentations with confidence.
Must have strong project management skills. Flexible, highly organized, detail oriented, able to work independently and with a team.
Team player with the ability to relate and establish strong interdepartmental and external working relationships with key contributors resulting in successful sales and marketing campaigns
Accustomed to working within strict deadlines with a high commitment to accuracy.
Must have a minimum of 5 years previous B2B related marketing experience.
Strong computer skills and excellent working knowledge of common marketing software packages is essential.
Able to work flexible hours during events.
