Brown University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Athletics – Marketing & Ticketing. This position is responsible for increasing the overall visibility of Brown University Athletics by leading and managing marketing/promotions, social media, student and campus engagement, and meeting annual ticket sales revenue goals. Implement, manage and plan marketing strategies to drive attendance, promotion and engagement of athletic events. Marketing/Ticketing duties include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of marketing plan/strategy, social media strategy, management of ticket sales/operations, and game-day promotions/operations. Perform daily administrative duties, including assisting with the day-to-day operations. Provide oversight of two Assistant Ticket Managers and Marketing & Ticket Sales Intern in addition to multiple game-day staff members.
All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Athletic Department).

Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of five years experience in athletic administration, preferably in marketing and/or ticket sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent organization, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning/time management skills.
Prior supervisory experience, preferred.
Demonstrated skill and knowledge in a variety of computer programs, including design programs (InDesign, Photoshop) and content management websites
Existing knowledge of ticketing software, NeuLion preferred.
Must demonstrate high energy, flexibility with schedule, and demonstrated problem solving skills.
Strong commitment to customer service and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of groups, including administrators, coaches, students, staff, community members, and fans.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
