The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist for our Headquarters in Springfield, Virginia. MBN is a non-profit grantee of the federal government that directly communicates with the people of the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio, and digital media. MBN's mission is to provide objective, accurate, and relevant news and information to the people of the Middle East about the region, the world, and the United States in support of U.S. public diplomacy.
The Digital Marketing Specialist plays an integral role in executing and implementing marketing to drive brand awareness and engagement with our target audiences. Projects include managing web content and executing social media marketing.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Specialist include, but are not limited to:
•Establishing digital marketing workflows.
•Documenting digital marketing processes and best practices.
•Identifying opportunities to establish and improve digital marketing effectiveness and website performance.
•Devising strategies to drive online traffic to MBN’s websites and online pages.
•Working to understand all MBN content.
•Strategizing the development of organic search marketing initiatives and executing plans to improve brand visibility and website traffic.
•Designing, building and maintaining our social media presence
•Liaising with marketing colleagues to execute paid digital campaigns via channels such as Twitter, Facebook and more. Monitor and optimize campaigns to maximize ROI. Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
•Managing all site analytics and closely measure the performance of site activity, promotions and usage.
•Developing and managing social media marketing calendar aligning with network / programming campaigns.
•Fulfilling ad hoc requests for digital marketing support with the approval of the Brand Manager.
•Brainstorming new and creative growth strategies
•Planning, executing, and measuring experiments and conversion tests
•Evaluating emerging technologies. Providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
Candidates are required to have:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, business, or related field.
•2-3 years of digital/online marketing strategies and tactics experience.
•Ability to read, write and speak Arabic
•Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
•Deep knowledge of best practices in digital and social media.
•Strong relationship management, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
•Outstanding presentation skills and professional demeanor.
•Ability to multi-task.
•Exceptional attention to detail.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics and other marketers’ tools.
•Experience with business-side use of social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and others, including relevant social and Internet analytics tools.
•Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
•Good understanding of campaign tracking principles.
•Aptitude with Google Analytics and / Adobe Analytics (SiteCatalyst) highly beneficial.
